Sports Centre


Sports Centre is a structural unit of the University which administratively is a students’ training ground and a place for popular sports activities of the citizens.

The Sports centre houses nine well equipped sports halls.

  • Sports arena –766 sq.m
  • Indoor track – 1,400 sq.m
  • Boxing hall – 208 sq.m
  • Fencing hall – 109.6 sq.m
  • Gymnastics hall – 340 sq.m
  • Arm wrestling hall – 90 sq.m
  • Weightlifting hall – 100 sq.m
  • Two gyms, total area – 210 sq.m
  • Sports ground for mini football and volleyball – 400 sq.m

Sports Centre has cutting edge auxiliary area (changing rooms, shower area, toilets).

Sports centre can boast its own 25m swimming pool with depths ranging from 1.1m to 2m. There are six lanes in the pool with recirculating filtered water exchange.

Sports centre holds physical training classes for students. Besides it is the training ground for varsity teams in 19 sports and it is used for sports competitions among Moscow student teams.

From 4pm to 10pm daily and from 10am to 8pm on weekends Sports centre provides a wide range of health and sports services:

  • Therapeutic swimming
  • Individual swimming training
  • Swimming school for children (from 5 years old)
  • Water aerobics group sessions

Sports centre holds swimming competitions and special weekend events (family visits: 1 adult + 1 child for the price of 1 adult ticket).
