Mir Transporta (World of Transport) Journal (MT) was first published in 2003 and appears quarterly. It was founded by Moscow State University of Railway Engineering. ISSN 1992-3252.

The publications cover the developments of transportation, transport industry, theoretical developments and abstractions, fundamental and applied studies in different spheres of transport, innovative processes, informatics and industrial technology, science and engineering evolutions in Russia and abroad related to transport.

The journal contains some permanent parts and sections: Theory; Science and Engineering; Economics; Management and Administration; Safety and Security; Education, Training and Personnel; History’s Wheel (history of transport), Biblionavigation (review of selected books, selected synopsis of thesis and doctorate studies, and listing of recently published books on transport).

Authors represent different kinds of transport, universities, research centers, public administration, transport organizations and companies from different Russian regions and from abroad.

All articles contain abstracts. The contents, information on the authors, abstracts, key words and parts’ headings are translated into English. This information in English as well as in Russian is available in “content of the issues”. The texts of selected articles of 2003-08 and of all articles since 2009 are in open access (in Russian). The same information can be found on Russian Scientific electronic library web-site at www.elibrary.ru

The editorial board proposes soon to widen the content of English abstracts and to present articles fully in English.

The MT Journal makes part of a Russian list of leading reviewed scientific journals for publication of the summary of synopsis of thesis and doctorate studies.

The journal circulation is 1000 copies.

It is distributed by subscription and is mailed to transport and leading technical higher education establishments, regional, science and technical libraries of most Russian regions, and library centers of CIS, some European and Asian countries. There is no retail sail, if necessary you can buy separate issues (if available) by contacting editorial board.
