Valentin V.Vinogradov, born in 1951. Graduated from Moscow Institute of Railway Engineering (MIIT) in 1973 majoring in “Railway construction, tracks and track facilities”.

In 1973 he became a postgraduate student of “Track and track facilities” chair, since 1975 – junior teacher at the same chair. In 1980 he defended his thesis and got a degree of Candidate of technical sciences.

Since 1981 – head of research track testing laboratory of the railway transport industry, and since 1985 – assistant professor of “Track and track facilities” chair.

In 1985-1986 he was a research trainee in Tokyo Technological Institute, Japan.

In 1991 he defended his doctoral thesis and got a degree of Doctor of Engineering and in 1994 became professor of “Track and track facilities” chair.

Since 1997 he has been the first pro-rector in charge of academic activities of Moscow State University of Railway Engineering.

Valentin V.Vinogradov is the author of over 150 scientific and methodological publications.

In 2006 Valentin V.Vinogradov was awarded the title of “Honorary Figure of Higher Education of the Russian Federation”.

Valentin V.Vinogradov is awarded the medals and breastplates “Distinguished Figure of Higher Professional Education”, “Distinguished Railwayman”, “Distinguished Transport Builder” and other awards.
